My Name Is Red Final Pieces

These Final pieces are quite different to my initial ideas, i originally wanted to convey more of the narrative in a comprehensive way but found this ended with cluttered imagery.

The patterns created in these pieces were directly inspired by eastern and turkish carpet designs which boast geometric bold shapes and lines. Thank you to Harriette and Steve for modelling for me.

Fact project: Baking For Kids

This project for me was about creating something useful. The four pages of recipes below are the results of a few weeks of baking and experimenting trying to make the text for the pages believable . I was looking for recipes children could get stuck into, but also things that weren't too difficult. The images are watercolour with photoshop retouching.
